Directions
- Preheat the oven to 175°C. Simultaneously grease two loaf pans (8”X4”) and sprinkle them with flour.
- In a glass bowl gently beat the margarine and cream cheese together.
- Now add white sugar and beat until the mixture becomes fluffy and white.
- Its time to add eggs now. Add one egg at a time, beating the mixture properly after each addition.
- Add mashed bananas and vanilla extract and beat again.
- Next add flour, little by little, blending well after each addition. Also along with flour you should add baking soda and baking powder and ensure there are no loose lumps of flour or baking powder left. The batter so formed will just be moist enough.
- In another small glass bowl mix chopped pecans, cinnamon powder and brown sugar. Keep aside
- Shift the batter into the two loaf pans to half full. Now add the pecan mix and top both the pans with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 45 minutes and check if the toothpick comes out neat.
- Your Creamy Banana Bread is ready!
This 4th of July dessert recipe is super moist and flavorsome. If you wish you could substitute the pecans with chocolate chips, or just add the chocolate chips to the recipe. If you looking for more flavor you could add another mashed banana. In this case you will have to give an extra 5 to 7 minutes for cooking. And if pecans aren’t the thing for you, just keep them out of the recipe. Best served with milk, this dessert is a healthy delight!
