Just because the holiday season is over doesn’t mean that you can’t have some decorations in your home to help getting through the wintery months. To decorate your windows is one way of having some great eye-catching décor that even can be seen from the outside. Here are a few suggestion and ideas on how to do it.

Winter Window Decoration Ideas
Decorate with Snowflakes
Snowflakes can be made out of various material. Even evergreen branches can be used. Paper snowflakes are also easy to make and great fun for everyone. You can make small or large ones and either hang them or stick to the window. Snowflakes stickers are also working well if placed cleverly.
Another way of making beautiful snowflakes is crafting them out of felt or using pipe cleaners and clear tri or sunburst beads.
Making white pom poms or cotton ball garlands is another fun and easy way to decorate.
A combination of those two crafts – snowflakes and balls – will make an even better impression.

Dress Up your Windows with Branches and Pinecones
There are many ways to use pinecones and branches for decoration. Make an arrangement of pinecones in beautiful containers or hang them from branches. Also, place some branches in vases and combine with stunning candles.
Another great way to use pinecones is to hang a few from ribbons and then hang from the window, either in a row or as a bundle.

You can cut out shapes out of white cardboard and paper, such as trees, houses and mountains which will be attached to the window. Themed stickers are also available and create a beautiful setting.

Frost your Windows
To frost your windows temporally you can use self-adhesive frost films or make your very own frost paint. To make your own, just boil 1 ½ cups of water. When it comes to a boil, add slowly 1 cup of Epson salt. Stir until it is dissolved. Then, add 3 tablespoons of liquid dish soap. Now remove from heat and let the mixture cool. Apply to a clean window using a paintbrush or a rag. You can apply the mixture around the edges using a sweeping motion or stipple it on the whole surface. Also, in order to create some larger crystals just apply the mixture more thickly. Let it dry. It can be removed easily by cleaning the window as usually.
