Creativity and inspiration in your home office… what moves you?
Is your home office a corner of the kitchen counter? Is your home office a big room with lots of stuff, but it doesn’t inspire you to work? Marie Burgos Design has a feature on Feng Shui guidelines to make your office an inspiring place to work. After all, isn’t that the purpose of working? If you aren’t inspired by your work… get a new job, and renew your home office! (not exactly in that order.)
When you sit in your home office does it yell, “Clean me

Don’t feel productive? Maybe your home office isn’t providing good inspiration!
up!”? If it does, before you pick a swatch of paint or your favorite desk, declutter.
Declutter:
- Throw away unneeded papers, old files, and get organized.
- Go through filing cabinets and archive important documents. Shred documents that are out-of-date, and scan documents to have an electronic copy.
Furniture: Home offices don’t have to be huge, to be inspiring.
- Pick your style: traditional, modern, eclectic, whatever your personal style make the furniture reflect you!
- Try it out. When you buy a mattress don’t you lay on them? Do the same with your desk and chair.
